Our Vision

Posted by Marvin E Hancock on November 23, 2010 at 3:05pm 0 Comments

God is continually increasing our vision. I believe He takes us where we are at, and begins to progressively reveal Himself to us through His Word, and as we accept that revelation He will began to reveal more of His plans and His destiny for us.

I remember as a teenager praying that God would use me to make a lot of money so that I could give and support other people and ministries that I felt could do a much better job of presenting the Gospel than I could. I grew up loving the Lord… Continue

Survey Proves Global Power Of Ad Specialties

Posted by The GIFT GALLERY on November 10, 2010 at 2:30pm 0 Comments

Showing the cost-effectiveness of promotional product as an advertising medium, the cost-per-impression (CPI) of an ad specialty item is currently $.005 (half of a penny), according to a new exclusive survey from ASI. During the ASI Power Summit, the 2010 Global Ad Specialty Impressions Study compares the CPI of ad specialties to other advertising and marketing channels – and it shows that promotional products have a better return-on-investment than most other media. Prescription Discount Plans

Posted by Dan Padgug on July 5, 2011 at 10:46am 0 Comments

After doing financial planning for 18 years, it was obvious to me that many people were struggling with being able to afford their prescription medications. This was especially true if they were uninsured or in the Medicare "doughnut hole." Because of this, I was extremely impressed when I was exposed to two programs specifically designed to help remedy this. One is called the "Patient Assistance Program" which has been… Continue

10 Intrinsic Qualities and Traits of a Good Leader

There is No "I" in TEAMWORK

In this life, we are tasked with several responsibilities. Some we own and are solely ours while others we acquire or are chosen by us. Throughout the course of my career, I've had the unique privilege and opportunity to be involved with both large and small teams. I understand what it means to be on a team and can work collectively to increase productivity, build morale, develop a game plan and meet a predefined target.

Community networks have two fundamental components. The first is the physical infrastructure; the wires, computers, and technologies required to establish Internet connectivity. For most communities, the economics limit the range of choices for physical infrastructure, which makes this component the relatively easy part.

The second component of community networks is the social info-structure. This consists of the ongoing process of engaging people in purposeful applications of the physical connectivity. The history of community networking has shown us that exactly how people learn to share the visions of what’s possible, how they learn to build their self-esteem and confidence in their use of these new capabilities, and how they make meaningful commitments to work with others to realize the potential benefits for the common good, will be the greatest challenge for those championing the creation of sustainable community networks.

A community’s collaborative capacity might be measured by the collective understanding of the processes by which members can work together effectively. A commonality of language, understanding, goals, and appropriate methods would all be factors to consider. If a community shares a clear understanding of what needs to happen, and exactly how to go about making it happen, the hardest part is over and everyone can get to work. An ideal situation would be for a community to learn together the most effective collaborative uses of the Internet collaborative tools and to put them to use without delay. Such is our joint challenge!

Today, many communities consist of members who have moved in from diverse cultures, and locations, creating the need to establish a common ground of understanding before members can work together effectively to achieve common goals. New skills must be learned to create the social info-structure with the intelligence to make good things happen on behalf of the community.
